No Burn Order Issued in Dora

DORA, Ala. (AP) - A no burn order has been issued by officials in the city of Dora in Walker County because of concerns that issues with the city's pumps and water tank have lowered Dora's water supply.

The order was issued Friday by Dora Volunteer Fire Department chief Robert Busby.

Dora Mayor Chris Edwards told the Daily Mountain Eagle in Jasper the order was issued as a precaution.

Edwards said the tank is only filling to a quarter of it's usual level. He said the city won't have a problem unless the pumps stop working.

Edwards said a full tank would supply the town with water for two days. He estimated the current level could only supply eight hours of water.
