MIDLAND CITY, Ala. (AP) - One person has been killed and another injured in a house fire in Midland City.

Dale County Coroner Woody Hilboldt told the Dothan Eagle newspaper that the fire started at about 7 p.m. Saturday at a home on Midland Michigan Avenue. Hilboldt did not identify the woman who was killed. He said because of the extensive fire damage, dental records would have to be studied to make a positive identification.

Two other occupants of the home managed to escape, but one was
badly burned and taken to Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.

The blaze is being investigated by the state fire marshal's office.
