There are new details regarding the murder of 4-year old Curtis Alexander Ruede.
Police say 25-year old John Curtis Davis has confessed to shooting his nephew. Davis will be charged with capital murder, and is being held without bond.
Police say if found guilty the minimum sentence he would serve is life in prison without parole. The maximum sentence would be the death penalty.
Police say that the child was shot with a .177 caliber pellet riffle.
Davis will be appointed an attorney within the next 48 hours.
Preliminary hearings could begin sometime in the next few weeks.
The suspect has since been arrested; however, the suspect is the victim's uncle.

On Friday afternoon, authorities say, 25-year old John Curtis Davis shot and killed his 4-year old nephew Curtis Alexander Ruede.
Family members say, Davis was upset after a toy dropped on his foot.
Ruede was transported by Opp EMS Ambulance to Mizell Memorial Hospital.
Officials say, he was pronounced dead hours later.
Davis is facing Capital Murder Charges.
The case is still under investigation by the Alabama Bureau of Investigations.
