Pet Calendar Contest

Special Photo
Farley came to the shelter when he was a baby. He has now graduated to the big dog room, and he is so accustomed to being in a pen that he has a hard time getting attention. With his red, white and blue leash, he is ready to spend July 4 with a new family. This black-lab mix is at a perfect age to learn commands. To see Farley, visit the Henry County Animal Shelter at 527 Ga. Highway 20/81, McDonough and ask about 042110/1410 (G64).

Does your pet have what it takes to get featured in a calendar?

If so, time is ticking to get your pet entered into the 2011 pet calendar contest.

The Wiregrass Humane Society is accepting your best photos of your cats and dogs.

Entries will be accepted at the Wiregrass Commons Mall until Saturday, July 16th.

"It's $10 for the entry fee, just bring in an 8 x 10 photo of your pet, no humans it's a pet calendar,” says Kathy Davis, Treasurer for Wiregrass Humane Society.

All proceeds from the calendar will go towards spaying and neutering animals at the shelter.
