HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A Huntsville man accused of murdering
his wife in 2008 has pleaded guilty.
Sixty-three-year-old Earl Palmer Jr. was charged with the murder
of Callie Palmer, 60.
He was scheduled to start his trial Monday, before Madison County Judge Laura Hamilton.
Authorities say they found Callie Palmer's body near her car in
January of that year, in the parking lot of Custom Chip Connections
on Fisher Street, where she worked.
An investigation led them to her husband.
He's also charged with possession of cocaine and violation of a protection order.
He faces 25 years to life when he's sentenced Aug. 6.
