Customers and employees were evacuated just before 8:45 Thursday morning from the Raceway store on Ross Clark Circle.
Dothan Police say an employee made the phone call about a suspicious package in the store.
Local bomb technicians arrived on the scene.
Residents around the area did not have to evacuate; however, officials blocked off Timbers Road.
“Our bomb team here in Dothan routinely responds to these types of calls. It's a very frequent occurrence that they come to and again can be lengthy, but we would rather be safe than sorry,” said Corporal Rachel David with the Dothan Police Department.
As of 10 o'clock, the bomb squad was in the early stages of inspecting the suspicious package.
