It's all about Alphas, Betas, and Gammas, Oh My! at the Farley Nuclear Plant.
The plant is holding an energy workshop for teachers to network and exchange ideas.
The workshop implemented creative strategies to engage students in nuclear energy.
Participants learned card games and role playing techniques.
Plant officials say it's important to have a mix of energy sources to ease the burden of coal and oil.
"I had to teach about nuclear energy, but never really understanding it. I thought it was an amazing opportunity for me to come to a nuclear plant and to learn more about it to teach it back to my children," says Enterprise High School Teacher, Crystal Krausz.
Teachers interested in participating in the next workshop will have to act quickly, for there is currently a wait list.
For more information on the workshop call Farley Nuclear Visitor Center (334) 814-4899.
