Local volunteers brought out their tool belts and started construction on the Rotary Miracle Playground Saturday.
The Dothan Rotary Club and Houston County Rotary Club joined together to raise funds for the new playground.
Over 300 people helped tighten swings, assemble benches, and dust off the equipment.
The playground features over 150 play events for children with and without disabilities.
"All playgrounds are ADA accessible, but ADA is not universally accessible. The new playground setup is likely to be ideal," says Kim Meeker, Build Director of the Rotary Miracle Field Foundation.
The Rotary Miracle playground is one of the city's largest playgrounds, with approximately 8,000 square feet of play area.
