The 22nd Annual Tomato Festival kicked off today in Downtown Slocomb.

Local farmers came together to put their best tomatoes and vegetables on display.

Other family-friendly activities included pony rides, arts and crafts booths, and country musical acts.

The main highlights this year were the antique car show, tomato parade, and of course the Slocomb tomato.

"We're known for our tomatoes, they're the best around," says Christie Hudson of Aplin Farms.

The city hopes to beat last year's attendance numbers.
