OPELIKA, Ala. (AP) - About 200 people have shown up at a job fair by a manufacturing plant hoping to add about 140 jobs.
The job fair in Opelika Saturday was conducted by Hyundai Mobis, which has a plant in West Point, Ga. The plant supplies parts for the Kia manufacturing facility in West Point.
A 22-year-old from Phenix City, Caitlin Greene told The Opelika-Auburn News she came to the job fair hoping to find a full-time job because "I got to have something."
Hyundai Mobis hopes to create the 140 jobs by adding another shift at its plant about 20 miles east of Opelika.
The company's human resource manager Marshall Murray said people started lining up about an hour before the job fair opened.
