Florida’s governor says the massive oil spill is within four miles of the panhandle coastline.

Charlie Crist says the oil sheen was spotted in a flyover today. He's joining US Senator Bill Nelson from Florida in calling for the military to take over the cleanup effort, saying it would make faster decisions.

Alabama congressman Bobby Bright spoke to a group in Ozark today. We caught up with him to get his thoughts on the oil spill and what his view is "now" on offshore drilling.

“So, we can't let this stop our drilling efforts but we've got to probably do a much better job monitoring and making sure that these companies who make the big profits are fully responsible and do what is necessary to drill safely,” said Congressman Bobby Bright.

Also today, the president blocked all new offshore drilling in the Gulf of Mexico until further notice. This coming a day after regulators approved a new permit in shallow water.

While Bright votes right, he helps maintain the Corruptocrat Party majority in Congress. He's gotta go in November unless he switches partys before then.
