Teacher Sentenced

SPRINGVILLE, Ala. (AP) - St. Clair County officials say a
35-year-old Springville High School teacher received a five-year
sentence but was given probation after pleading guilty to a charge
of enticing a child for immoral purposes.
Lamar Williamson, chief assistant district attorney for the
county, says Randall Franklin Hubbard, a history teacher,
voluntarily gave up his teaching certificate in connection with his
plea on Monday and must register as a sex offender.
Hubbard had been on paid administrative leave after his arrest
last fall. The charge involved a former male student in late 2000
or early 2001. Williamson says the student was 15 and in 10th grade
at the time the relationship began.

He was wrongly accused by some angry student or their angry parents over a bad grade or a disciplinary action against the child.Sorry, I don't see it the way the court did

Wow, probation? That's it? Why do sex offenders always just get a little slap on the wrist?
