2 men arrested in connection with bank robbery

ALABASTER, Ala. (AP) - Two men have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Alabaster.

Alabaster Deputy Chief Curtis Rigney told The Birmingham News 26-year-old Nathan Bateman and 25-year-old Robert Andre Morton have
been charged with first-degree robbery and are being held in the Shelbyh County Jail. Their bond has been set at $1 million each.

Two men brandishing weapons entered Regions Bank on U.S. 31 just
after 4:30 p.m. Friday. They demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

Officers with at least four law enforcement agencies searched the area for suspects.
