MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Retirement Systems of Alabama says its
Teachers' Retirement System posted a gain of nearly 26 percent on
investments for the year that ended March 31.
Retirement Systems chief executive David Bronner said Tuesday the report is a reasonably good one.
The teachers' system covers about 230,000 active and retired teachers and other public education employees.
The TRS fund had $16.91 billion in stocks, bonds and other assets on March 31.
