Wreck in NE Miss. kills 3, including 2 from Ala.

FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - A wreck in northeastern Mississippi has killed two Alabama children and their mother.

Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon says a one-vehicle crash
at 12:30 p.m. Saturday on Mississippi Highway 25 in Belmont killed the driver, 32-year-old Misty Dawn Scott of Dennis, Miss., and her two children, 14-year-old Brooklynn and 13-year-old Jesse.

Officials said the two children lived in Cherokee, Ala., with their father. They were students at Cherokee Elementary School.

The coroner told the TimesDaily in Florence that investigators are unsure why Scott's Chevrolet Blazer ran off the road and crashed.
