DALEVILLE, Ala. (AP) - Dale County sheriff's investigators say a
registered sex offender grabbed and sexually abused a teenage girl
after she went to him to urge him to tie up his dog.
Dale County Chief Sheriff's Investigator Harvey Mathis says
45-year-old Michael Ray Clements of Daleville is charged with two
counts of sexual abuse.
Mathis says a girl under the age of 16 had gone to warn Clements
to tie up his dog because she had seen a dead dog nearby.
Mathis says Clements grabbed the girl and sexually abused her,
and that the girl broke loose and returned to her family's
