One person is dead, another in the hospital after a shooting in Ozark Sunday afternoon.
Police in Ozark say around 4:30 p.m., they received a call about a man holding his wife against her will at a home Evergreen Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers were not able to make contact with the suspect.
Police made entry into the home, going through the bedroom in the back of the house.
They found a woman conscious and responsive but suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Police then found the male subject, the woman's husband, dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest.
The woman was rushed to Dale Medical Center where she underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition.
Police say she will survive.
Ozark Police Chief Tony Spivey tells News 4 this incident is the result of an ongoing domestic dispute between the two.
Names of the victims have not yet been released.
Ozark police will hold a press conference about the incident Monday morning.
