Students present check to help Honor Flight Veterans

Some area students are doing their part to help more veterans take off on the next honor flight.

This morning, freshman class president Patricia Decker of Northside Methodist academy presented a one thousand 13 dollar and 50 cent check to Director of Communications for the Honor Flight Jim McGee.

The Honor Flight to Washington D.C. allows World War II veterans to visit and reflect at their memorial at no cost to the veterans.

180 World War II veterans have participated in the Wiregrass Honor Flights so far.
