FLORENCE, Ala. (AP) - A Lauderdale County man has been indicted
on capital murder charges in connection with two shooting deaths.
Lauderdale County grand jurors indicted 29-year-old Jonathan Wade Cossey of Waterloo during the March term.
He is accused of killing 49-year-old Ricky Wayne Waller and 30-year-old Sylvia Yvette Martin Mitchell on Sept. 2 at a house just east of Florence.
Cossey was arrested Sept. 4 at a hospital in Tennessee where he
was being treated for a drug overdose.
He was admitted to the hospital hours after the man and woman were killed.
He has denied any involvement in the deaths.
He's being held without bond at the county jail.
