Search goes on in Alabama lake for missing student

JASPER, Ala. (AP) - Divers continue to search for the body of a
21-year-old student at the University of Alabama at Huntsville who
apparently drowned in a canoeing accident on Smith Lake.

Divers are searching for the body of Michael Stutler.

The Madison County man was in a canoe with two other men on the Walker County side of Smith Lake Saturday night when it was struck by a wind gust and overturned.

Alabama Marine Police patrol officer John Mark Williams says the
other two men swam to a nearby boat dock.

Walker County Sheriff John Mark Tirey said divers from the Cullman County Sheriff's Office and the Tuscaloosa Police Department helped search for the body.

Tirey says the search was suspended Monday afternoon because of
high winds.
