HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A former University of Alabama in Huntsville professor is making her first court appearance on charges of shooting six colleagues, three fatally, during a February faculty meeting.
Amy Bishop, fired as a biology professor at the school, wore a red jump suit as she entered the courtroom in Huntsville Tuesday. Her shackles could be heard clanging as she was led down a hall to the courtroom of District Judge Ruth Ann Hall.
Bishop is charged with capital murder in the deaths of three professors gunned down during a biology faculty meeting on Feb. 12.
