HARTSELLE, Ala. (AP) - Drivers inconvenienced by the need to
detour around a portion of Interstate 65 in north Alabama while a
sinkhole is being repaired have some good news: a state
transportation official says the project could be completed soon.
Division Engineer Johnny Harris says if everything goes well and
the weather permits, traffic could be moving again in the northbound lanes of I-65 between Hartselle and Priceville by the weekend.
Harris says detour patterns will remain the same until traffic
is rerouted back onto I-65.
