Body found in pond at Alabama golf course

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - The Jefferson County coroner's office is
tring to identify a body discovered in a bag floating in a pond at a Birmingham golf course.

Police say three golfers reported seeing a bag in a pond at Highland Park Golf Course.

Police pulled the bag from the water and found a body inside.

Birmingham police say they do not yet know the cause of death or
how long the male victim had been in the water.

Mountain Brook Police Chief Johnny Stanley says the body may be
that of missing Mountain Brook tax attorney Major Bashinsky.

The 63 year-old was last seen March 3, and his car was recently found
about two miles from the golf course.
