GADSDEN, Ala. (AP) - The charge against a 30-year-old Gadsden
man in the killing of his mother is now capital murder.
Justin Denson was charged Jan. 28 with murder in the death of his 63-year-old mother, Nita Gay Denson, whose body was found Jan.
18 in her Gadsden home.
He is being held without bond.
Etowah County District Attorney Jimmie Harp says the charge is
capital murder because authorities believe a robbery took place
along with the killing.
An autopsy report showed the woman died from blunt force trauma to the head.
Harp said a grand jury will decide if capital murder is the appropriate charge.
