MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - A Montgomery man convicted of raping two young girls more than 10 years ago has been convicted on each of three counts.
The Montgomery Advertiser reports that 50-year-old Jerry Lee Nowden faces 10 years to life in jail. Nowden says he's innocent, but a jury found him guilty on two counts of first-degree rape and one count of first-degree sodomy.
The victims, who were 12 and 13 at the time they say they were raped, came forward with their allegations last year.
Nowden is set to be sentenced next month.
