MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - A 41-year-old man has been charged with two counts of fraudulent use of a credit card after police said he used cards taken in recent robberies of two elderly people.
Spokesman Officer Christopher Levy tells the Press-Register in a Monday story that said Demetrius Hill was in Mobile County Metro Jail on bail totaling $6,000.
Local media showed a picture of a man recently using a card taken from an 83-year-old woman who was assaulted and robbed on the afternoon of New Year's Eve.
Levy said Hill was identified as the man in the picture, and he was also accused of using a card that was recently taken from an elderly victim in Chickasaw.
Levy said the robberies are still under investigation.
