LEEDS, Ala. (AP) - Republican candidate for governor Bradley
Byrne has picked up support from another major business group.
The Alabama Retail Association announced its endorsement Tuesday
at a news conference in Leeds.
Byrne picked up an endorsement last month from the Alabama
Association of Realtors.
Retail Association Chairman Jimmy Ray Smith said Byrne was an
excellent steward of taxpayers' dollars during his service in the
state Senate, on the State Board of Education and as the state's
chancellor for two-year colleges.
