January 4, 2010 – The US census Bureau is currently seeking applicants for multiple open positions to include Census Takers, Crew Leaders, and Crew Leader Assistants.
These positions start at 11.25 per hour plus $.55 per mile and can go up from there.
In order to apply for these positions, applicants must go to a testing center and take a short assessment.
The test is a 30-minute timed test with 28 multiple choice questions. Practice tests are available on the website at www.2010censusjobs.gov.
A test is scheduled for Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 10:00am at the Enterprise Public Library, and tests will also be scheduled at 10:00am every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for the month of January at the Economic Development/Incubator Building in the Yancey Parker Industrial Park on Highway 167 North.
Anyone interested in taking the test should call 1-866-861-2010 for additional information and a list of required documents. Walk-ins are welcome.
In addition, the US Census Bureau is looking for space to utilize as testing centers. Anyone that may have additional space should call 1-866-861-2010.
