HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) - Homewood police are investigating the
city's first homicide of 2009.
They say 36-year-old Isaias Garcia Juarez was shot to death on
Wednesday, the 364th day of the year.
Sgt. Andrew Didcoct said several people were brought in for
questioning and later released. He said Thursday that no arrests
have been made in the case.
Investigators said the suspect forcibly entered an apartment
around 10:30 p.m., shot Juarez, and left without stealing anything.
