Abbeville man charged with conspiracy to commit murder

An Abbeville man has been charged with three counts of Conspiracy to Commit Murder.

Police say William Scott Lindsay, Jr. attempted to kill a former Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy, a current deputy and a witness in another case against him.

Lindsay was already in custody at the Henry County Jail on other unrelated charges.

He was arrested at the jail on the new charges. His bonds total $821,000.
