The 78th Annual Junior Beef Expo is steering people from around the tri-states to Dothan.
Members from 4-H, Future Homemakers of America and Future Farmers of America converged on the Houston County Farm Center today.
They're competing for cash prizes, ribbons and the chance to qualify for the state steer show in Montgomery next month.
For some participants, it's more than just a show, it runs in the family.
"My dad showed here whenever he was growing up so it's kind of like a tradition in our family and I hope to keep it going with my family one day."
Admission to the expo is free.
The show started tonight at 6.
It will also be going on tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
