A group of U.S. army soldiers took time out of their busy schedules to give back to the community Saturday.
About 30 soldiers from Fort Rucker assisted with various projects at the Dothan Botanical Gardens.
The soldiers got their hands dirty with four projects, including finishing up some work in the vegetable garden.
Soldiers say they're happy to help.
“When I put the list up to ask for volunteers it filled up immediately and I’ve been continually getting questions on what we're going to do and people are very happy to come out here. The weather initially was a concern but the suns out now and people are just happy to be out here and providing some service to the community,” said Warrant Officer Candidate Kevin Monismith.
