MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - State troopers report six traffic
fatalities in Alabama during the Thanksgiving holiday period.

Two of the deaths occurred in Limestone County. The others were
in Colbert, Mobile, Tallapoosa and Jefferson counties.

State trooper spokesman Steve Jarrett says officers investigated
418 traffic accidents during the holiday period. They made 146
arrests for driving under the influence and issued more than 3,500
citations for speeding.

The holiday period ran from Wednesday through Sunday.
