A wiregrass church is destroyed after catching fire late Friday night.
Elizabeth church in Columbia caught fire and is now just a smoldering pile of rubble.
Authorities responded to the fire around 10 o'clock Friday night.
A fire investigator was on the scene today, trying to determine where the fire started in the church.
Authorities say the church is abandoned and has been for many years.
There are no injuries.
Columbia, Pansey, and Webb volunteer fire departments responded to the scene.
The fire remains under investigation.
