House fire kills woman in Jefferson County

ADAMSVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A house fire in Jefferson County has
killed a 61-year-old woman.

The coroner's office reported that Patricia Davis died in the
fire that occurred at a home in Adamsville about 6:30 a.m.
Wednesday. Four others in the home survived the blaze.

State Fire Marshall Ed Paulk said the fire apparently was
started by a 2-year-old child playing with a lighter and setting
the drapes on fire.
