October is national energy awareness month and volunteers have come together to make a Wiregrass woman's home more energy efficient.
It's part of a nationwide effort to "go green" while saving the homeowner some green.
Work is underway at this home on McDonald Avenue in Ozark.
It's one of five homes in the state organizers say was in desperate need of uprgades today.
Federal stimulus dollars paid for additional insulation, repairs to ducts and siding with fresh caulking around windows and energy efficient light bulbs.
