Authorities say an inmate in the Houston County Jail attempted to have several of his family members killed.
53-year-old William "Bo" Drake is charged with 4 counts of conspiracy to commit murder.
The Houston County Sheriff's Office says last week, an informant, who was also incarcerated in the jail, notified them about the murder plot.
The informant told authorities Drake had asked him to have his 2 sisters and 2 nephews killed.
On Sunday, authorities gave drake false information; telling him his sister had been murdered.
It was all in a ploy to get more information out of the suspect.
“all of these relatives were located in southwest Georgia and Mr.. Drake went so far as to provide information on their whereabouts, their daily activities, and even drew a floor plan to one of the victim's residences in Georgia,” said Houston co. Sheriff Andy Hughes.
None of the intended victims were hurt in this case.
Drake was being held in the Houston County Jail on multiple theft charges involving stolen trailers and equipment.
His bonds total $2 million dollars and could face life in prison if convicted.
