FAIRMONT, W.Va. (AP) - Federal investigators are looking into
the cause of a plane crash in Fairmont that injured four people
headed to Alabama for the West Virginia University-Auburn football
The Saturday crash at Fairmont Municipal Airport caused minor
injuries to the four people aboard the six-passenger aircraft.
Marion County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Gearde says the pilot, an
Alabama resident, had planned to fly his brother and two other
passengers to Alabama for the game.
Police have not released the names of those injured in the
Witnesses say the plane nose-dived into a grassy embankment
above the runway shortly after taking off.
