Dogs were on display Saturday in Dothan.
To help get some lonely pets a home, a local organization showed off the cute pups at Tractor Supply Company on Highway 84 West in Dothan.
It was all a part of the fall "Adopt-A-Thon" put on by Save-A-Pet.
From 10 am to 5 pm Saturday, volunteers were looking to put pets in loving homes.
Save-a-Pet estimates that every year, 4-thousand animals are euthanized in the Wiregrass.
They say events like these save lives.
“We get an enormous amount of animals turned into the animal shelter every month and it's very difficult to try and find homes for all of them. We’re trying to get them good homes where they can be loved and be taken care of for the rest of their life,” said Save-A-Pet volunteer Sharon Murphy.
Save-a-pet plans on more events like this in the future.
