TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Bystanders pulled a man who accidentally
drove his truck into a small lake to safety Wednesday.
Tuscaloosa police say the unidentified man had minor injuries
from the truck's airbag, but was able to walk to the ambulance.
Capt. Greg Kosloff says he was driving west on Rice Mine Road at
about 10:30 a.m. when he apparently lost control, veered across a
lane of oncoming traffic, sideswiped a van and landed in the small
lake off Rice Mine Road.
David Herndon saw it and joined another man trying to pull the
truck onto the bank.
Members of the Tuscaloosa Fire and Rescue Service later broke a window and pulled the man out.
