North Alabama Woman Suspected of Killing Mother

Police have captured the blood-covered Alabama woman suspected of killing her mother shortly before noon today and setting her house on fire.

It all happened in the city of Madison in northern Alabama.

49-year-old Kimberly McLaughlin was reportedly spotted from a helicopter during the manhunt.

Police dogs were used to close in on her before 3 p.m.

The murder victim's body was discovered when fire fighters responded to a call of smoke billowing from a home.

Police are not yet releasing the name of the murder victim or how she was killed

Police say McLaughlin had weapons charges filed against her in California.
