Alabama Getting Federal Funds for Highway Safety

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama is getting federal funds to
promote driving safety in personal vehicles and commercial trucks.

State Public Safety Director Chris Murphy and others are
scheduled to announce the funding Wednesday morning on the state
Capitol steps.

Murphy will be joined by the division administrator for the
Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, Judy Van Luchene, and
the president of the Alabama Trucking Association, Frank Filgo.
