Earthquake shakes the state

The 2.0 earthquake happened about just after noon Saturday in the town of Guwin, which has about 200 people living between Guin and Winfield in northwest Alabama.

Marion county sheriff's officials say no one called to report any damages from the quake.

It's the state's ninth earthquake this year.

The strongest was a 3.8-magnitude quake April 21 in Centreville.
