A toddler is killed in a police chase. Mobile police say they tried to stop the car around noon on Wednesday.
The driver refused to pull over.
The chase ended when the suspect hit another car at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue and Carstens Street.
Two adults, one of whom is pregnant, and a toddler were in the car that was hit.
Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson says the toddler died.
Tyson says the suspect will be charged under the new state law that makes it a felony to run from police.
He is also considering charging the suspect with murder.
