Riley appoints Huntsville businessman to ed. board

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Gov. Bob Riley has appointed Huntsville businessman Philip Dotts to the Alabama Commission on Higher Education.

Dotts is president of the financial advising firm Public FA, and he serves as chairman of the Business Council of Alabama. His appointment is subject to approval by the Alabama Senate when it meets in January.

The Alabama Commission on Higher Education is the coordinating board for the state's public colleges and universities.
