Sheriff: Person of interest in truck bombing dies

PARRISH, Ala. (AP) - Walker County Sheriff John Mark Tirey said the unnamed person was of particular interest in the case and was found dead last week.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the July 29
bombing, which injured a man and has been labeled as a
murder-for-hire plot.

The men had a detention hearing Friday in federal court and
Tirey said prosecutors asked that they be detained until their
trial because they are believed to be dangerous and a flight risk.

Tirey said officials are following outstanding leads in the case
and anyone with information is asked to call the Walker County
Sheriff's office.
