MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Alabama Attorney General Troy King is
holding conferences for senior citizens across the state this week
to provide information on guarding against scams and fraud.
King says the goal of the conferences to protect senior citizens
from financial abuse.
Representatives of several state agencies and law enforcement will also participate.
The conferences will be at 10 a.m. each day, beginning Monday at
the Rose Hill Senior Adult Center in Dothan, Tuesday at the
Guntersville Town Hall, Wednesday at the James P. Nix Senior Center
Also on Thursday at the Gardendale Civic Center, and Friday at
Newton Community Center in Montgomery.
