Auburn trustee Jack Miller of Mobile dies at 65

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) - Auburn University trustee Jack Miller, a
prominent Mobile attorney, has died at age 65.

A statement released by Auburn said he had suffered from cancer
in recent years.

He died Saturday at his home on the Dog River.

Miller, a founding director of Colonial Bank, was active in Democratic Party politics and played a role in the successful gubernatorial campaign of Fob James in 1978.

His law firm - Miller, Hamilton, Snider and Odom - merged last year with the New Orleans firm of Jones Walker.
