MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - The Alabama Department of Public Safety is expanding its appointments scheduling for driver's license exams to its Dothan office starting Wednesday.
State Public Safety Director Chris Murphy said applicants for road skills tests may schedule an appointment through the department's Web site http://dps.alabama.gov or they may call (334) 983-5616 during regular business houses.
Dothan is the seventh city to add appointments. The department already has them available in Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery, Opelika and Tuscaloosa. Murphy said the appointments are to make the exams more convenient, but walk-in applicants are still served on a first-come, first-served basis.
