Blue Cross, Blue Shield laying off 151 in Alabama

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama says it is laying off four percent of its work force because of the downturn in the economy.

The company said Thursday the 151 job cuts would be mostly in the Birmingham area where most of its 3,800 statewide employees work.

The company offered early retirement to employees earlier this year and some took that option last month.

Because I hear that insurance firms are now getting told they must report profits and business practices, etc. to scumbag cronies of Balack O'Sambo, the imposter in the White House, then I remind you that you---and no one in your firm nationwide, are required to answer such questions posed by such incompetent garbage, as none of them have any business experience or authority whatever. ---I suggest that you write them similar "Demand" inquisitions, capped with all threats necessary to shut them up, as they are all toothless ogres whose families can be disposed of easily.

If Bobby Bright spent as much time Washington as he did in Dothan, he might be able to get something done.
